Je vais vous surprendre, mais là, après une première écoute...

je suis déçu...

en effet, si 3 des 4 premiers morceaux sont dingues (Pieces..., Song for Her, et So Groovy) le reste de l'album ne m'a pas accroché les oreilles...

Je reste sur une impression de déception, car à part les morceaux sus-cité, rien ne m'a vraiment scotché.

Mais j'avoue que cela vient sûrement d'avantage du style musical général de l'album que de l'originalité de la musique. Car en effet, j'ai pour habitude de n'apprécier le jazz de ce genre qu'en live, et moins en album... quelque soit l'artiste. Et franchement, pour l'instant, même si je suis certain de prendre mon pied en concert, l'album ne me convainc pas plus que ça...

C'est mon grand malheur face au jazz, car même des albums jugés mythiques "m'emmerdent" à l'écoute sur galette, alors que les morceaux sont jouissifs joués en live ("Kind of blue"... par ex.).

Donc, excusez-moi de n'être pas aussi enthousiaste que vous. En fait, j'ai ce sentiment désagréable de me dire que cet album va finir en une utilisation de "fond sonore" quand on a des invités (comme le 90 % des albums de jazz en ma possession) plutôt qu'en écoute attentive. Par contre, je reconnais qu'il s'agit d'un bon album de jazz, c'est le style de musique qui provoque cela chez moi.

Mais je vous promets de l'écouter très attentivement encore plusieurs fois histoire de voir si je reste sur ce sentiment, ou pas.

En bref, pour l'instant, je suis plus fan du "Neighbourhood" que de "Playground".

salut Grerg, eh bien moi je n'ai pas encore ecoute l'album qui est pourtant chez moi depuis sa sortie ... je me suis dit que je preferais d'abord voir (et surtout ECOUTER) le concert avant de me le reecouter tranquille at home sur le CD ...
demain le grand soir ... ! j'espere retrouver tous les potes du forum sur place (helas sans So !) pour passer une super soirée . je vous raconterai mes impressions au retour .

Euh si on était assez fiers de la 72 eme place aux ventes d'albums de Neighbourhood (si mes souvenirs sont bons), et pour un instrumental plutôt jazzeux, c'était une excellente perf'...là le Playground c'est posé au 43 ème rang en France à sa sortie (sondage IFOP). C'est beau moi j'dis !
Quant au classement Fnac.com en jazz, le BOss est pris en sandwich par Stacey Kent et du Keith Jarret, et se poste à la 2 ème place des ventes ! Sais pas s'il a été preums ou pas avant, j'ai pas vérifié !!
Moi je dis qu'il faut se la péter grave, éPICéTOU !

Ahhhhh!! Greg tu me rassures là!!! Je savais bien qu'il fallait que tu réécoutes "Playground" à tête reposée ...

Parce que quand j'ai lu ton post, je me suis posée qq questions !!

Mais comment il fait pour considérer que "Playground" peut finir en une utilisation de "fond sonore" quand on a des invités.... parce que là c'est vraiment pô possible!!! Ce n'est pas envisageable pour moi, à moins de passer pour la fin de mes jours pour une totale a-sociale!! Quand j'écoute cette succession de morceaux... je pars... et je risque de ne plus vraiment écouter mes invités!!! et mes invités, ils n'ont qu'à se casser .

Perso, écouter Playground est une activité à part entière ou éventuellement un moyen de m'isoler quand je travaille!! Le seul moyen de le partager, c'est avec des individus aussi atteints que moi....

Ah la la....Ca fesait longtemps que je n'étais plus revenue...Tant de choses bougent tellement vite....

Alors, euh.....YES YES YES pour les quelques musiques de l'album que j'ai entendu...Et ben non, j'ai pas encore pu m'acheter Playground....
Et oui, en tant qu'étudiante, j'avais des priorités...Mais c'est pour bientôt, j'espère....




Sinon, pour Zazie.....et ben euh, c'était vraiment ENORME!!!! Excepté qu'elle avait une bronchite lol....

Au plaisir de vous revoir bientôt, quand j'aurais enfin The CD!!!

Miam, miam, miam je mange avec appétit depuis 15 jours. Un délice qui claque cet album....je suis en retard comme toujours!

Bon Bah!!!! Après 2 mois d'écoute intensive.... personne n'a de commentaires sur Playground????

Et quel album!!!!! De la pure musique de relaxation, du rêve en partage....comme à son habitude!!!

Alors encore mille fois bravo Monsieur Manu, et merci pour toutes ces si belles émotions que vous nous procurez!!! Un vrai régal!!!

Just'un hic: le carton, autour de l'album, c'est du gaspillage....même si ça fait classe

" play ground" est une pure merveille...une aération,legere ,souple et dense ,
il ne se passe pas un jour ou je l'ecoute sans y decouvrir quelque chose qui m'avait échappé, c'est un bonheur sans cesse renouvelé...merci manu

suggestion.je sais que tu as un affection particuliere pour christian vander, penses tu un jour l'invité dans ton emission sur arte??
